On the three square mile island of Green Turtle Cay off of Abaco in the Bahamas, I was frantically looking for a shot to compose before I lost the beautiful evening light.  I was shooting a pier at first, but it just wasn’t the shot I was looking to make.  I turned around and a coconut palm growing at a sharp angle caught my eye.  Immediately attracted to this tree, I composed my shot to include it.  After a few seconds to let the wind settle, I got the shot.  I love how the palm seems to reach for the setting sun off in the distance.  The water gently curls onto the beach, and the sea becomes more peaceful from the long exposure.
