Stormy Hayfield
On my way from Vermont to Connecticut I got caught in a serious lightning storm in Massachusetts. It was raining so hard that I couldn’t drive faster than ten miles per hour, so I pulled over to watch the storm. I noticed the large round hay bails in a nearby field, so I grabbed my camera and a piece of wood to shield my camera from the torrential downpour. At this point there was a beautiful sunset off in the distance and I composed the shot to include it. The scene struck me as very unique with the bright colors in the background, because where I was, it was pouring rain and extremely dark. The rain appears as fog in the shot because of the long exposure I shot.
