Mist
I was drawn to the simplicity of the scene. The thick mist covering the pond obscures everything outside of one hundred feet. I love how the horizon line cannot be distinguished. Water, trees, and sky are all masked by the mist. The dock among the reeds is the only thing that gives the shot any sense of location. When we look up we see sky. When we look down we see ground. In this shot, however, neither can be distinguished. The unique eerie look this shot has is what I like about it.
