I saw a trailhead on the side of the road. As a landscape photographer, I realize that trailheads are like gateways to potential photographs. As it happens, most hiking trails are pretty when you are physically present, but many don’t provide opportunities to take good photographs. But if you don’t look for something, you’ll never find it. A short distance into the woods there was a stream with clear water. At this point I abandoned the trail I was on and followed the stream. Not long after my decision, I was rewarded with a beautiful scene. The water gently trickling down the green mossy rocks clad in freshly fallen birch leaves immediately captured my attention.
