While in Acadia I wanted to take a night photograph.  I walked to the coast and composed a shot by moonlight.  At 11:00 pm I opened my camera’s shutter.  While the photograph was exposing, I went for a walk and tried to dodge the incoming 7 foot waves.  After returning to my camera, I closed the shutter at 11:20 pm.  I love how the giant waves are tamed by the long exposure and turned to a mist.  The shot was made entirely by moonlight.
