I had been wanting to take a photograph of entirely white birch trees for a long time. The issue was that I didn’t know where to find a grove of exclusively white birch trees. In the northern part of Maine, I finally found what I was looking for. I set up my camera, took some photographs, then left the location because the light was unfavorable. Once the sun had gotten lower and some clouds rolled in, I returned and got the shot. I don’t think there are many places like this in the world.
